Children's Ministries

Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up,Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
There are only few things in life that are genuinely precious and at Twin Oaks we believe that one of the greatest gifts God gives us is our children. Investing in the life of a child is so important and we dedicate all that we have to the children placed within our ministry.
God gives us several instructions from His Word on how we are to raise our children and our goal is to come alongside parents and help them find ways to reach their child for Christ. We will supply you with tools you need to nurture them and help them grow in a manner that is pleasing to God.
Children are special to Jesus and that makes them special to us. Please know that we are committed to being a living example of Christ’s love so that your child may see the path that will give them a full and blessed life. We want nothing more than to see families grow together, strong and healthy and become a vibrant light within their community for Jesus.
Children Ministry Highlights
Little Lambs Nursery (Newborn - 3years for Sunday School and through 4 years during worship.) Our nursery & toddler program is carried out in a caring and nurturing environment. Through bible songs and simple sayings like, “Jesus loves you”, we begin to instill within their tiny hearts the love of Jesus. In addition to our volunteers we have a wonderful full time gal who is always there for the children; so they become acquainted with her and it makes the whole process much smoother.
KID’S CLUB - Our kids have very special rooms for Sunday School that cater just to them. The classes are for Pre-School through 6th grade. We utilize many methods of teaching so that each child can connect with the lessons. Through hands on projects, bible games and “come to life” stories, praise music, puppets and more we begin at even the youngest age to fill their hearts with God’s message.
At Twin Oaks we take the job of teaching the children seriously. We consider it a privilege to lead the children on the path of knowing Christ. The children will have a great time building friendships, learning God’s Word and most of all how to apply what they learn to life. We are not here to entertain, but to train. Our most used curriculum is the BIBLE. We use supplemental material as needed, but primarily teach from the scriptures like they did in the good ol’ days.
Sunday School is from 9:00am - 10:00am
MUSICALS - The kids of TOCC love music and each year (give or take) we put together a musical presentation for family and friends. Some of the musicals we have done are Son Creek Junction and American Ideal. The musicals always have a strong salvation message and be assured the kids have a blast getting ready for them. Learning through music is a fantastic way for children to gain confidence, learn teamwork and responsibility; and it gives kids the opportunity to “step outside” their comfort zone and learn that they can do different things. Miss Julie keeps them jumping, hopping, singing and laughing every step of the way so - come join us!
AWANA - There isn’t much to say about this program except WOW! What a great time learning the Word of God. AWANA is a very unique program that runs on a solid structure; teaching the children respect, teamwork, consistency, responsibility and integrity. The program never ends, that’s right, it never ends.
AWANA meets on Sunday afternoons from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the church. The program runs on a continual basis with weeks on and off (schedules are provided). So what that means for you and your child is you can join at anytime. Each child works at their own pace, so no one is ever ahead or behind in their work.
There is not enough to say about this program except it is AWESOME for all involved. Come hang out for a Sunday and give it a try. We guarantee, your child will want to come back. If you would like to find out more about AWANA please visit their international website at awana.org.

FAMILY FUN IN FAITH - Throughout the year we have special events set aside for the whole family. The Children’s Ministry partners with other ministries to present something the whole family can enjoy. We believe there is nothing more important than a family growing strong together in the Lord.
Some events will include BBQ’s, talent shows, game nights, picnics and many other activities. Visit the website calendar often to see what’s coming up.
