Worship

We were created to worship God, to give back to Him the glory due His name and His name alone! God expects us to worship Him as a humble expression of reverence and adoration. But our Sovereign God wants even more than that. God also expects us to be obedient to Him. He wants not only for us to love Him; He wants us to act justly towards each other; to show love and compassion to others. By His mercy, in this way, we present ourselves to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Him. This glorifies God and is our “spiritual service of worship” (Romans 12:1). When we worship with an obedient heart and a repentant spirit, God is glorified, Christians are purified, the church is edified and the lost are evangelized.
Our time of worship does not fit any categorized mold, such as contemporary, blended or traditional. Our worship is just that, worship. It is not about what we like, whether it’s upbeat or slower paced. It’s all about God. It’s about humbly bowing our hearts as we approach the throne of grace. It’s about lifting our hands in thanksgiving for the love poured out to us through Jesus Christ. It’s about joining with the angels and singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty”. It’s about being where we belong, in His presence.
